Guest Bio - Bishop Samuel Mkisi
Bishop Samuel Roland Mkisi is an evangelist by calling, and the Bishop of a pentecostal church known as Church On The Wings, headquartered in Mzuzu, Malawi. Bishop Samuel and his wife Florence oversee eleven branch churches, of which two have been established very recently.
Since 2003, when Church On The Wings was first established, Bishop Samuel and the church have been involved with orphans and street children. This is due to the lives of many parents being claimed by HIV and AIDS, which has left their children destitute. This has led Church on the Wings to start a feeding program at least two days per week. By God's divine arrangement, Bishop Samuel is working with other missions who have a high calling from the Lord to minister to orphans. Together, they are sharing the love of God with the Mzuzu community by building an orphanage, which will provide these orphans with a safe abode, regular meals, clothing and a sound education. This demonstration of the love of God will ultimately result in the salvation of many souls.
Bishop Samuel is also passionate about prison ministry. As a result of the prison ministry, a church has been established in the Mzuzu prison, and this has greatly impacted the lives of the inmates. As more and more inmates surrender their lives to Jesus, water and Holy Spirit baptisms are being conducted, and Holy Communion is shared. After their release from prison, most ex-convicts have continued in their walk with the Lord, proving themselves relevant both to God's kingdom and society.
